The GROW Agency Coaching Model

In some cases, I find that some digital agency leaders either can’t or don’t want/need 360-degree support from an agency coach. Sometimes all they’re looking for is some guidance or a listening ear that helps to hold them to account in overcoming challenges, problems or issues. Often in this instance, the best approach is to work with an agency coach for monthly or bi-monthly calls using the GROW model.

What is the GROW model?

The GROW model is a coaching framework that contains all the core elements of an effective session. It’s simple and powerful, making it easy to help your clients identify goals for each session, reflect on what’s getting in the way of achieving them, brainstorm ideas or solutions and finally commit to taking concrete action.

It stands for:

G – The Goal or goals you’re looking to achieve or the challenges you’re looking to overcome.

R – The Reality or landscape in front of you that allows us to better understand how to get you there.

O – The Opportunities or Obstacles in your way to achieving those goals, in that reality.

W – The Will to get there or the Way we get there, how it’s done and how we keep accountability.
